Dear Hoosier Brain-iac:
Noticed you've been reading the IDEO book and it reminded me that I'd heard Fresh Air's Terry Gross
interview with Tom Kelly on February 8, 2001, when I was still living in the Washington, DC area, and it was excellent. Just what you'd hope it would be like.
Fortunately, because I had my portable Sony radio/recorder with me at work that day, which proved invaluable when walking 7 miles home to Arlington on 9/11, I was able to tape the interview.
If you go to Ideo.com's media page, there's a note about the interview with a direct link so you and others can listen to it.
The site reads:
"On February 8, 2001, Tom Kelley appeared on the National Public Radio show Fresh Air, talking with host Terry Gross about his new book The Art of Innovation. Tom and Terry discussed the sometimes surprising stories behind the process of innovation."

Mmmm...track food and beer. What is it about food at fairs and tracks and stadiums that makes us love it so much?
You were in VIP suites at the track? Take me next time please, please, please, please :-)
Sounds like you had a good time.
